 How do we use technology to protect us – and not burden us?

Digitalization of security

We have been following global trends in the field  of occupational safety and digitalization at Alfa Therm for years. We are aware that technological progress brings many opportunities and challenges.

That’s why we try to use technology in a way that improves processes but doesn’t burden people.

We have already recognized digitalization as an opportunity to improve business, and one of the important steps was the development of the internal information system “Alfa Net”, which enables:

• Quick access to key information – regulations, laws, forms and templates.
• Availability of Safe Operating Instructions (RAMS) for specific tasks, at all times, in the field and in the office
• Integration of security procedures into everyday work, without the need for additional reminders

The quick availability of procedures and guidelines makes safety an integrated part of everyday work, and not something we have to remind ourselves of.

Artificial intelligence helps us make everyday processes faster, simpler and safer. Our goal is not only to automate human, but also to find more time and capacity for what is most important: work quality  and safety.

Safety at work as part of culture, not just procedures

Occupational health and safety is not just a legal obligation for us – it is an integral part of our organisational culture. We know that a healthy and safe worker means:

• fewer injuries at work
• higher productivity
• happier and more motivated employees

We recorded over 500,000 working hours without a single reported injury during 2024. Such a result is not a coincidence, but a reflection of joint responsibility, good preparation and constant dedication of all our employees, especially those in the field

ISO standards and ESG guidelines in practice

Our safety management system is based on the international standard ISO 45001, and it is further harmonized with European regulations and best practices that we adopt through our work on international markets.

We also follow ESG guidelines, which emphasize the importance of health and safety as a key element of sustainable business. We also pay special attention to the mental health of employees, because we know that digitalization and rapid changes can cause stress and emotional burden.
